Troubleshooting ExpressLRS Receiver Binding Issues

Question: Why won’t my ExpressLRS receiver bind to the transmitter?

Answer: First, ensure both your transmitter and receiver are running compatible ExpressLRS firmware versions. Mismatched versions often cause binding failure. Next, confirm the receiver is powered correctly, typically 5V or as specified, and that the LED indicator shows it’s in bind mode (usually flashing). To enter bind mode, hold the bind button on the receiver while powering it up, then release once the LED flashes rapidly. On the transmitter, enter bind mode via the ExpressLRS Lua script or module interface. Keep the transmitter and receiver close, within 1 metre, during binding to avoid signal loss. If binding still fails, double-check antenna connections on both devices; a loose or damaged antenna can prevent binding. Finally, try resetting both devices by power cycling and repeating the steps. Following these steps should resolve most binding issues with ExpressLRS receivers.
