Troubleshooting ExpressLRS Receiver Binding Issues

Question: Why won’t my ExpressLRS receiver bind to the transmitter?

Answer: First, ensure both your transmitter and receiver firmware versions are compatible and correctly flashed. Use the official ExpressLRS Configurator for this. Next, check that the receiver is powered with the correct voltage (usually 5V or 3.3V depending on the model) and that the antenna is properly connected. To bind, put the transmitter into bind mode, then power on the receiver while holding the bind button or shorting the bind pads. The receiver LED should flash indicating binding mode, then become solid once bound. If it doesn’t bind, verify that both devices are set to the same frequency and packet rate. Also, confirm that the receiver is not already bound to another transmitter. Try resetting the receiver by disconnecting power for a few seconds before retrying. Finally, keep the transmitter and receiver close (within 1 metre) during binding to ensure a strong signal. Following these steps usually resolves binding issues with ExpressLRS receivers.
